FIRST IMPRESSION MAYBELLINE PRODUCTS REVIEW

Soooo tonight- considering it's 6:30pm right now -I'm going to review three different maybelline products- (from L-R) Dream Smooth Primer, Dream Pure BB Cream (light), and the Super Stay 24 hour waterproof powder (sand). All these were bought from my local supermarket at pretty affordable prices.

Before I start, I'll just briefly write about the previous foundation(s) I've used. If you don't care, just scroll down a bit more.

That above is my second tube of Garniers BB Cream in 'light'. My first tube lasted me for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Pretty much over a year. I loved using it so much. But after I finished my first tube I began on my second and I noticed that I looked.... orange. I don't know why- whether they've changed the colours slightly or whether it was out of date (I bought it a few months before using it). But that's when I decided I needed to try something new.

The Nude mineral foundation lasted me forever as well. I used it to matte out my BB cream.
I love the Nude brand, but it's so expensive now. I highly recommend it. I ran out of it and decided to try something new.

YAAAY information. I was going to type it out but I thought that it would be easier to take photos of the back of the products instead.

I "suffer" from acne, so it's important for me to buy products that will "help" it.
The BB Cream contains salicylic acid which is pretty amazing for me.

I use two different brushes when applying foundation and the likes. The flatter one I use for liquid foundations and the brush I use for powders. I've had these brushes for so long so hopefully I will buy some new ones very soon. Before applying any of the make up, I washed my brushes.

Now onto the products individually....

DREAM SMOOTH PRIMER

From the photo above, you can see that the primer is a clear gel. It's super duper soft and just a tiny amount can go a long way. It made my skin feel soft and clean. It made applying the BB Cream and foundation a lot easier, for some reason.
This is the second primer I've ever used. I don't remember the brand of the first one I used, but it totally made my face look all caked up and gross.
I give this a thumbs up! I just have to wait and see if I have an acne reaction to it.

DREAM PURE BB CREAM

I dotted this all over my face before dabbing it with the flat brush from the center of my face out. It adjusted to my skin really nicely and hid pretty much all of the redness. I'm really happy with this, mainly because it didn't make me look orange. Next time I put make up on (tomorrow probably), I will apply more on my face to see if it gives me more coverage.
This is super good for oily skin and my skin didn't feel oily during the day which is a first. If you get oily skin, definitely give this a try.

SUPER STAY 24 HOUR WATERPROOF POWDER

So this product is pretty cute. It comes with a mirror which will be super handy when I have dance concerts. It also comes with the little circle thing that you can use to apply it, but I chose not to. I applied this with my brush from the center of my face out.
The powder feels real nice and soft, like it has moisture in it. It mattefied my bb cream and removed any shine I had left. It's super light weight so it felt like I wasn't wearing it. I like this product a lot but because there isn't much in there, I'll have to see how long it lasts me.

NOW FOR A BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTO!

BEFORE
 AFTER

Overall, I'm really happy with these products. I'm not one to complain the first time I try something, so I might be back in a week with something to complain about.
The make up stayed on the entire day, even after my face was splashed with water. Which is pretty impressive considering the fact every other make up product I've used has worn off during the day.

All photos were taken in natural light.

Until next time!
